Matthew is a 24 year old forward player who started his career for Bolton Wanderers U18s in 2018 , then moved to West Didsbury in 2019. Spells at Irlam, Glossop North End followed before moving to Barnoldswick Town in July 2023. He joined Runcorn Town after a short spell at Nelson in March 2024. He played 20 times for Runcorn, then 14 times for Alsager Town from 20.08.24 and 14 times for Colne from 09.11.24before signing for Vics.
