MIDLAND LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
SATURDAY 22nd FEBRUARY 2024 3.00pm KICK OFF
NORTHWICH VICTORIA v OJM BLACK COUNTRY
@ The BARTON STADIUM, WINSFORD
OJM were only founded back in 1996 as Black Country Rangers. In 2007 they joined Division 2 of the West Midland ( Regional) League and were promoted to Division 1 at the end of the 2009/10 season. They won Division 1 the following season earning promotion to the Premier Division where they were runners-up in their first season .
At the end of the 2020–21 season Black Country Rangers were transferred to Division One of the Midland League when the Premier Division of the West Midlands (Regional) League lost its status as a step six division.
In 2023 the club was renamed OJM Community Football Club and relocated to the Triplex Sports Ground in Kings Norton, Birmingham and were promoted to the Midland League Premier Division last season. They currently lie in 12th place, 4 points and 2 places above the Vics though they have played 2 games more than ourselves.
The first match back in November resulted in a convincing 4 - 0 win for OJM down in the Black Country, so here's hoping that we can get some sort of revenge back this time found at home. Vics will be feeling confident after recording 2 league wins on the trot for the first time this season following wins away at Dudley Town and at home versus Wolverhampton Casuals with Sam Deering scoring 3 times in those games.
