A really entertaining match, and probably Vics’ best all round performance of the season ended with Vics earning a well deserved point against the in-form team in the League, Dudley Town

A fairly even start to the match with Dudley missing the best chance as a free header from a free-kick sent to the far post was put over the bar. Eli Fisher had a shot easily saved by Alex Graham in the Town net, whilst Will Lloyd had a shot over the bar for the Vics. Vics then took the lead in the 18th minute as a well worked corner routine led to Marcus Perry striking the ball low into the net from 20 yards out.
Dudley responded in the 32nd minute as an Owen Massey strike was spilled by Reid and Ethan Muckley tapped home to level the score.

HALF-TIME : Dudley Town 1 Northwich Vics 1

The second half saw plenty of good football, with both teams having their fair share of chances. Switters forced
Alex Graham into a great save in the 51st minute, pushing a powerful shot which was heading for the top corner away for a corner. Hard working Vics were preventing Dudley from getting any clear cut chances despite their neat passing football whilst Vics were breaking quickly and dangerously. Callum Parker had a shot easily saved a minute after coming on as substitute whilst Anton Smith had a pot shot just wide. Vics were then forced to play 10 minutes with 10 men as the impressive Frazer Cookson was sin-binned for something he said to referee, but they defended superbly with Fisher and Switters doing sterling work upfront constantly harrying the Town defence when the ball was played out. Vics did have one moment of worry late on when the ball fell to a Dudley player with Reid out of position but he lofted the ball high over the bar when it looked easier to score. There were half chances for Vics in the final few minutes but both teams would be happy with a point apiece
FULL-TIME : Dudley Town 1 Northwich Vics 1

An excellent match to watch in horrendous conditions , between 2 good teams, which either could have snatched a win from. Top class performance from the Vics with good football coupled with grit and determination especially during the sin bin period
