The big Northwich derby takes place on Saturday 20th July, 3.00pm kick off as the Vics take on their landlords Witton Albion in their latest pre-season match, and there is a Trophy at stake as this match is being played for the Vijay Anthwal Memorial Trophy. Vijay, who passed away during the close season, not only served the town of Northwich in his medical capacity but he was also the Club Doctor at Witton Albion, so it seems appropriate for this match to be played in his memory.
Witton have only just started their pre-season , having just the one match, a 3-0 defeat at home to a strong Crewe Alex side so far, whilst Vics are on their 5th match, having won 3 and drawn the other.

Plenty of free parking is available at the ground, and the gates will open at 2.00pm. Hot food and refreshments are available whilst Witton 's bar is open from 1.00pm. Please note there is no entrance to the bar before the match once in the ground.
